Chi Connect welcomes back special guest and internationally known Wudang internal arts expert Ismet Himmet (WDP). For the first time he will go into Tai Yi Xiang Long Shi Ba Zhang (Dragon shaped 18 form) and to work on Fa Jin improvement. TAIYI QUAN Taiyi Quan is related to the Taiji system with a slight variation in principles: It covers the "Liang Yi" principle (separation of Yin & Yang), in wich still and soft movements with fast and explosive movements are combined. While a Taiji form stays within the balance of Yin & Yang, a Taiyi form is more about the separation of Yin & Yang. The principle that represents this and puts it into action is FA JIN (explosive internal power). TAIYI XIANG LONG SHI BA ZHANG Tai Yi Xiang Long Shi Ba Zhang means 'Dragon shaped 18 form'. This is one of the three Taiyi handforms of the Wudang Xuan Wu Lineage. It contains 18 steps with focus on light-footedness, flexibility, smooth and spiral (dragon shaped) motions to create good Feng Shui (harmony) within your own Qi field. The movements are slow, fluent and soft combined with fast and explosive movements (Fa Jin).   FA JIN IMPROVEMENT Fa Jin is a special movement characterized by explosive and precise striking. Most often these strikes are done to vulnerable and weak points on the opponents body. A balance of harmonized movement that is perpetually ready to strike by using the most efficient path. Since Fa Jin is part of the Tayi 18 form, Ismet will also focus on Fa Jin movements and power and will teach us how to develop and improve this.
